Client Portal Overview

When your clients sign in, they see a branded portal with their own dashboard, orders, tickets, and more. This article walks through what the client portal looks like and how to customize it.

The dashboard

The dashboard is the first thing your clients see after signing in. By default, it shows a summary of their activity — pending orders, active orders, open tickets, and active subscriptions.

The dashboard layout is fully customizable. You can add text blocks, stats, embedded content, and links. Configure the dashboard layout in Settings → Portal → Dashboard.

The sidebar gives clients quick access to all portal sections. The navigation adapts based on which modules you have enabled — if you haven’t activated tickets, for example, the Tickets menu item won’t appear.

The default sidebar is grouped into categories:

  • Activity — Dashboard, Orders, Files, Tickets

  • Billing — Invoices, Subscriptions

  • Services — Your published services and order forms

  • Promotions — Referrals

You can customize the sidebar using the Sidebar Editor — add custom pages, external links, and rearrange the navigation order.

Customizing the portal

The portal uses your branding — your logo, colors, and domain. A small "Powered by Wayfront" link appears in the sidebar and on order forms. Key customization options include:

  • Logo — Upload in Settings → Branding

  • Colors — Set your primary and accent colors

  • Custom domain — Use your own domain (e.g., portal.youragency.com)

  • Custom pages — Add pages with your own content to the sidebar

  • Dashboard layout — Rearrange blocks and add custom content

Clients can search across all their data using the search bar in the navigation. Search covers orders, tickets, invoices, and files — making it easy for clients with many active projects to find what they need.
