Link Marketplace
The Link Marketplace module turns your link inventory into a storefront inside your client portal. Clients filter placements by the metrics you choose, pick a pricing tier, add items to their cart and pay through your normal checkout.
Go to Settings → Modules and activate the Link Marketplace module. This adds a Marketplace page to your admin sidebar and a Marketplace link under Services in the client portal sidebar. Team members need the Services permission to manage it.
Categories
Every category is a separate storefront with its own currency, columns and filters. Click the + Category button on the Marketplace page to create one. A category is listed in the portal once Show in client portal is ticked and it has at least one active item.
General options
Name and Description are shown at the top of the category in the portal.
Currency is a 3-letter code and defaults to your workspace currency. Every item in the category is priced in it, and any add-ons you attach need to match it.
Item attributes
Attributes are the data points you store for each placement, like DA, DR, traffic or region.
Each attribute has a type:
Text: free text, filtered with a dropdown or search box.
Number: filtered with a min and max slider.
Select: a fixed list of options, one per line.
Two toggles control what clients see. Client filter adds the attribute to the Filter dropdown, and Table column shows it as a sortable column in the placement table.
Fulfillment
Intake form is an intake-type form clients complete after paying, for example the target URL and anchor text. It’s asked for each placement they buy.
Add-on services are regular services offered with every placement in the category, for example content writing. Clients tick them in the cart under each placement, and they land on the same order as add-ons. Add-ons keep their own price and intake form, and must use the category’s currency.
Client access
Tick Require CRM field approval to limit the category to approved clients. Wayfront adds a Marketplace approved checkbox field to client profiles when you enable the module, or pick any other checkbox field.
Under When not approved, choose Hide category to leave the category out of the portal for unapproved clients, or Show locked category to show the tab with a message that it’s available once their profile has been approved.
Adding placements
Open a category to add placements one at a time. Each item has a name, a domain, an optional URL, a price and an Active toggle. Inactive items stay in your list but are hidden from clients. The domain is what clients see in the table.
Item tiers let placements carry alternate prices, for example Casino or Crypto. Each tier is a name and a price. Clients pick Normal or a tier when adding the item to their cart.
Importing from CSV
From the category’s actions menu, choose Import. The modal links to a template: an empty category gives you a sample file, and a category with items gives you a CSV of everything in it. Download that file, edit it and upload it again to update items in place.
The columns are:
id: the Wayfront item ID. Include it to update that item.name: shown to clients when there’s no domain. Defaults to the domain.url: the full URL of the placement.domain: the domain of the placement. Used to match existing items when there’s noid.normal_price: the regular price. Required on every row.is_active: 1 or 0.sort_order: the default position in the list.
After those come one column per attribute, using the attribute name as the header, and one column per pricing tier, for example tier:Casino. Leave a tier cell empty if that placement doesn’t offer it.
To update existing items, export the category, edit the file and upload it again. Wayfront matches rows by id, or by domain when there’s no id, and adds anything it doesn’t recognise as a new item. Blank cells leave the existing values as is.
Billing and orders
Placements go through your normal checkout and land in Orders like other services, with the domain, category and tier on the order and invoice. Each category gets a hidden service called Marketplace: followed by the category name so this works.
What clients see
The Marketplace page lists your categories as tabs when there’s more than one. Each tab shows a table of placements with the columns you enabled, the price, and a tier picker for items that have tiers.
Clients can sort by any column, and the Filter button opens search (matching name or domain), min and max price, and your attribute filters.
Add puts the placement in the cart. From there clients tick any add-ons and check out as usual. A cart holds one currency, so a client can’t mix categories or services priced in different currencies.
