Deals

A deal is a single sales opportunity for one client, with a value, an owner and an expected close date. Deals live on your sales pipelines, so one client can have several deals moving through your stages at once.

To get to your deals, expand Clients in the sidebar and click Pipeline. If you don’t have a sales pipeline yet, the same link lets you create one.

Creating a deal

On a sales pipeline board, click the + button at the top of a stage and pick Deal. Then fill in the details:

Client
The person you’re selling to. You can also link their Company.

Title
What the deal is about, like “SEO retainer”. It’s also the email subject when you first message the client, and renaming the deal later won’t change a conversation that’s already started.

Service and Value
Pick a service to use its price, or enter a value and currency yourself. Only team members with invoice access can see or set the value.

Owner
The team member responsible for the deal.

Expected close
When you expect the client to decide.

Note
Saved as the first activity on the deal.

The deal appears as a card in the stage you picked, showing the client, value, owner, expected close date and message count. Each stage heading shows the total open value of the deals in it. Drag cards between stages as the deal moves forward.

The deal page

Click a deal card to open it in a side panel, or click Open full page from there. You can change its stage, edit the details, create an invoice, and mark it as won or lost. If you have more than one sales pipeline, editing a deal also lets you move it to another board.

Messaging the client

Click Message client to email the client from the deal. The first email uses the deal title as its subject, and their replies land on the deal’s timeline. Once the conversation has started, the button changes to Reply to client.

Clients reply by email, and deal conversations don’t appear in their portal’s ticket list. Messaging from deals needs the helpdesk module, and emailing a lead needs a paid plan and a custom email sending domain.

Sales inbox

Every deal conversation also lands in Clients → Sales inbox, so you can work through replies the way you work through tickets. The Needs reply view shows conversations where the client wrote last. Replying clears it, or you can dismiss it if no reply is needed.

Activities

Click Add activity to log a call or a note, or schedule a follow-up for yourself or a team member. Activities show on the deal and on the client’s timeline, and scheduled ones appear under Clients → Follow-ups.

Winning and losing deals

Click Mark as won or Mark as lost once the client decides. A lost deal asks for a reason, which only your team can see. To change a closed deal’s value or service, click Reopen first.

Click Create invoice to open a new invoice with the client and the deal’s service or value already filled in. When the client pays it, the deal is marked as won automatically, and the invoice and its orders show under Invoices & orders on the deal page.

Deleting a deal removes it from your pipelines along with its message thread. Its activities and invoices stay on the client’s profile.

Deals on the client profile

Each client profile has a Deals tab listing all their deals with the stage, status, value, owner and expected close date.

You can also create and update deals and log activities through MCP.
